I was like WTF is that supposed to mean, and he says that evry time he said "I love you" over the last 6 months (including the night of my b-day, valentines, prom nite, etc.) was all a lie.

Now I would like to know what makes a guy say this to his girl, and have you ever said anything to your girl and why.

There is two reasons why your now ex boyfriend told you this:

REASON 1: He does care about you...even love you..but not in love with you...His communication being down should have suspect from jump...When your partner starts to lose communication with you, there is something seriously wrong..rather a problem at home, school, or another mate...Your relationship was long in high school terms...So, that mean that he did not want to hurt you by telling you the truth and thought he could weather the storm...or start feeling that way about you again...Maybe he even questioned himself...In the end though, he did what was right...He was honest...Even if he lied..Which he didn't, he was just confused...

REASON 2: Another female...or the want to be alone...single...Most males go through a phase that they want to test the waters...Don't wish to be tied down...He probably do love you but rather break up with you than to hurt you or...has already cheated on you and wants to leave before the dirt comes back on him
