Default Lack of REAL men?

OK, a few weeks ago, there was a huge discussion on a radio station talking about how the "pool" of available black men is shrinking rather than growing for today's black women. They were saying how if you take out the ones that are in jail, not working, not in college or pursuing some type of education, the ones who are not in the military, and the ones who are gay...you're left with a small percentage of available black men. Also, they were saying that it is becoming hard for today's black women to find a man that is on the same level as them educationally, financically, or as far as life goals are concerned. I was wondering, do you feel that the "pool" of available black men is shrinking or is it getting better than what it was in the past? Is it one of the reasons that more interracial marriages are becoming common in places where it was rarely seen in the past? What's your thought on this?
