Ladies I was reading a post on here the :I'm tired of being hurt post and it made me think of a recent conversation I was having with a friend of mine. Why, we, being young women are so pressed to be in serious relationships? I mean isn't true that most men our age aren't ready to "settle down" until they get into their thirties. And one thing we don't do as black women is date. Yeah you can date someone but not often do black women consitantly date different men( And I'm not talking about pimpin or talking to someone on the side. I mean the men know about each other) and not just settle for who is ok. My friend made reference to the show Sex in the City. Those women dated and why is it when I meet people women that aren't black they are always in these great commited relationships. Do you think it could be because they date around first before settling down?
