Default The NFL Combine Updates

The combine has offered up a new leader on my Big Board of the top 25 NFL prospects: Auburn running back Ronnie Brown, who showed more speed in Indianapolis than most expected.

He supplants Texas running back Cedric Benson, while Michigan wide receiver Braylon Edwards holds steady at No. 2 and USC wide receiver Mike Williams is back in the top three after occupying the top spot for a majority of the regular season. Wide receiver Roddy White of UAB makes the biggest jump this week, going from No. 18 to No. 12 on the heels of a good combine showing, while tight end Heath Miller of Virginia fell from No. 11 to No. 19 thanks to injury concerns.

The board also features one newcomer this week, Nebraska junior cornerback Fabian Washington, a terrific all-around athlete who ran one of the fastest 40s ever recorded at the Combine.

Washington's appearance on the list means 19 schools are now represented on the Big Board, including three Auburn players (two of the top eight) and two apiece for Florida State, Oklahoma, Texas and USC.

RUN RONNIE RUN!

Man when I saw rodney bust that 4.4 I was like whoa BUT dont let the combine shake you up man. The only thing I think the combine really does is give people a look at people who they have concerns with. Like Mike Williams being faster than he seems and maurice clarett being as SLOW. But overall the combine dont do much. Kevin jones ran a 4.6. Terrel Suggs ran like almost a 4.7. And he a pro bowler this year in his first two season with double digit sacks and Kevin Jones was makin some SERIOUS flashes when he got off of his injury. Look for him to push for the pro bowl this year cause joey harrington aint gone exactly carry the lions on his shoulders. ill get back at this later tho.

Crowder was 6-2¼ and 242 pounds. He ran his 40s in 4.72 and 4.71. He had a 35½-inch vertical, a 10-foot long jump, a 4.27 short shuttle and a 6.57 three-cone drill.

I guess those are some decent numbers. He's athletic and big but I still cant deny my boy derrick johnson. The only thing that could possibly be wrong with him at all his his play against the run but I think he gone show out in the league nevertheless. Anyway how many first round linebackers in the past few years have really upsetted us. The only person I could think of is ol boy from oklahoma. He on the viks right now. So linebackers seem to be pretty safe picks. And ILB are gone to get alot more opportunities with all these teams goin ta the 3-4. The cowboys and the vikings are switchin to the 3-4 and have two first round picks so both of them are gonna grab two LB in the first round. I think the viks might run away with derrick johnson w/ that 7th pick

Teddy lehman was a second round pick and of course I already knew he had juice. But the guy I was talkin about was EJ henderson and I just discovered that he goes to maryland not ok. I confused cause of the colors. And i wasnt gettin on ok prospects anyway. I dont see how anybody with any kinda football knowledge could. Unless your talkin about somebody like uhhh jason white. By the why what happened to jason white? Seriously, no jokes, did he quit football or somethin?
But back to the top prospects. While on the subject of LB and 3-4 I forgot about erasmus james, pollack and dan cody. They might get the switch move to 3-4 linebacker. If you were to consider them lb who would you put as the top lb?
