Default Forbidden Fruit: Love Stories from the Underground Railroad

I am so looking forward to this book, because it is actual slave narratives about why they took certain risks that they did in the name of love, everything from an 18-year-old girl who traveled in an airless chest from Baltimore to Elmira, N.Y. so that she could join her escaped fiance; of a man that escaped because his love of God and proselytizing became too much
for his captors to bear....

i mean most books about slavery never talk about the causes of why a black ran away and the deep emotional experiences behind it, like this book shows how much blacks sacrificed for love and how much we are going downhill in that aspect of how we treat each other IN THIS day of age, a black guy now wont even buy a freaking hamburger grrrrr.....so yeah march 2005....cop it
