To me, I don't see what the problem is because it should not matter what the race, origin, creed, etc. because it really matters what the person is about. Since I have started the dating game way back in middle school, I have 3 white girls, 1 hispanic, 1 german, 1 mexican, and 2 mixed girls. If you don't ever date outside your race or if you are against interracial dating, then you are being racist in a sense........................

I think that you see more interracial dating because...

1. More people have open minds to it, and...

2. Many Whites are specifically looking for Black partners, especially White women. For an example, go to a dating web site such as hotornot.com and type in keyword "Black men".

As we become a more diverse society, many of the barriers (social stigma, income level, etc) towards miscegenation (sp?) are breaking down. As a result, more Black people are finding themselves working and living in places with more cultural variance, and nature takes its course. Holla!

First of, let me apologize for putting white people in my title, i should have put something like multiracial. I agree with the fact that as we get more diverse, interrracial relationships become more common. But it seems like black men in particular are using white females b/c they can't find any black women who'll do what they want....same with black women. THey try to find white men b/c they supposedly have money. I've noticed that a lot especially at my school Morgan STate. Fellas, do you all feel angry to see a sistah with a white man?

There are people being used all around, because of stupid stereotypes like the ones you just described.

There are a lot of Whites who want a Black man because they believe Black men have better sexual performance - so in other words, they are not truly interested in the Brotha but rather curious or just buying into the 400 year old myth.

There are Black men who pursue White women because they see them as submissive. Some are, but the ones that I have encountered are just as opinionated, but less vocal on it.

There are Black and Hispanic women who go after older White dudes looking for a sugar daddy, and many younger ones who only pursue them because they are believed to be more stable.

It is because of all of this ignorance that truly authentic interracial relationships are criticized... there are so many people using it as an excuse to try to avoid finding someone undesirable that even decent relationships come into question. I don't think there's anything wrong with dating interracially, but doing it exclusively to obtain a perceived benefit is plain ignorant. Holla!
