U know this is really sad. i understand that u can just turn the channel and i do. But what about those children that don't know anything but what they see on tv. What about the children who have no role model? BET is their role model.

Y is it that u don't care? the only advice u have is turn the channel?! that's y our youth are so confused now. Of course we can change the channel but what happens when their mentalities become contaminated with this bullshyt?!

Yes these women have a choice and they are not choosing wisely. Maybe they didn't because more women like urselves said to just turn the channel instead of doing something or speaking up about it. They not only represent themselves but they are portrayed as what every black women should strive to be. That's y most of these little girls don't know how to buy an entire outfit instead of pieces of material that barely cover one cheek!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The sad thing about BET is that some of the highest executives are WOMEN. So when I turn to Uncut, when I turn to 106, when I turn to BET countdown, I'm reminded that its women that are making these decisions to air this shyt on T.V. When women start caring more about how much MORE money they can make, instead of the message this crap is sending out to their daughters...then we have a serious problem on our hands.

I admit, I thought Teen Summit was kinda boring, but the topics were actually meaningful and worth discussing. I watched it sometimes. The AIDS topic was repititive, but I guess they were they were trying to get it through minds of some hard-headed Black folks. About the videos, I think they're nothing but HOT GHETTO TRASH!!! It really doesn't make any sense for women to be exposed the way they are. Back in the day, they were more covered up, but now it's all about showing off the booty! :roll: This is the reason why I quit watching BET with the exception of Midnight Love. I did watch NYLA, but BET cancelled it due to low ratings. (probably)
