my roommate!!!!!

question: im going to start my freshman year at DILLARD, i just got my housing assignment but the thing is NO ROOMMATE WAS LISTED????? they didnt even list any reason that one wasnt listed. i got everything else but that so my question is DO I HAVE A ROOMMATE? WHAT YALL THINK, THOSE OF YOU WHO BEEN THROUGH THE DORM THING?

this is soooo stupid, i called back and the lady told me they are not telling people who their roomates are, we find out when we move in!!!!!!! what kinda crap is that! i asked around and the woman wasnt lying just to rush me off the phone they really r doing it that way this year.

I say don't trip. cuz originally i was going to Dillard but changed my mind and hit up CAU. Dillard is still sending me stuff and juss gave me my housing assignment and a roomate wasn't listed eaither. I think that's juss how they work. Some schools provide info on ya roomate and others dont. Lucky for me CAU gives u everything short of a ssn. Good luck!

At certain schools, they don't give your roommate's name?

Is that to avoid confrontation? Or something?

I know with Xavier it's the same thing, they told me my room assignment, but they won't tell me my roomate. I called and asked the lady in housing and she said we won't know until we move in. Aint dat a...

A lot of schools do that...Morgan does that as well. I don't think thats good b/c you don't want to have two of everything in ur room. I didn't find out who my roommate was until the day I moved in and lucky for me she was cool. But hey, thats HBCUs for ya :roll:
