My room mate is a nursing major here at Norfolk State University, and she told me that she chose NSU because our school has one the best nursing programs (as well as Social Work). I think our music program is pretty swell, I just don't know if picking up a minor is a good idea. The curriculum for nursing at NSU is no joke, most people end up changing their majors. My room mate also wants to pick up a minor but she doesn't think she will have the room on her schedule for more classes (especially if she wants to graduate in 4 years or 4 1/2 years). But its your decision, I'm sure you'll be able to handle it! If both of those studies are your passion then go for it!! Good Luck, and I hope you pick the right school for YOU. Tootles.

PVAMU has a great nursing program. I think they are like number 2 in the state of Texas. (If not number 2 close to it)

Even though I'm not an nursing major, Skegee has a good nursing program. Also, there are plenty of scholarships in our nursing departments if you know the right connections(lol).

North Carolina Central University. . . .

http://www.nccu.edu/artsci/nursing/

In 2001, they finished with the highest passing rate on the bar, among all North Carolina Colleges (beating WSSU, UNC, App. State, and other schools).

They continue to bolster their Distance/Extension Education program and have working relationships with World-Class and historically excellent hospitals like Duke, the VA Hospital and Lincoln Health Center.

They don't call Durham the City of Medicine, for nothing.
