Re: JSU New Student Orientation+some other questions...
Orientation normally takes place a day or two before registration begins. If you're just now getting to campus, there's a good chance you may have missed it.
They're basically going to tell you how to get adjusted to life on campus, how to deal with registration, making good decisions (including money and friends) and which department to go to when problems arise as well as other stuff. I will admit, it is somewhat boring, but they give you good info, so take a notebook and a pen.
You will hear about various activities as the year goes on. Be on the lookout for announcements and fliers.
I don't know what to say about the professors because I'm sure several have left since I graduated several years ago. Whoever they are, listen to them and try your best to get your work done.
The main thing is to relax...It's gonna take you about a month to get adjusted to life on campus.
