Cloudy water
I sat in a tub full of my salty tears...
as i reminisced on our past years...
Looking at soaked petals and cloudy water...
remembering the smile you had at the altar...
When you promised me your love and made me your wife...
promised me your trust and faithfulness for the rest of my life.
What ever made you think that i had stopped loving you?
When you were the one who made my darks days sky blue.
Nobody could hold me the way you did and make me feel like gold...
You were my everything...weren't you told?
You hurt me so bad that day i came home...
to find you with her…naked on the floor...
You said it was an accident…and that you thought she was me.
Was that your excuse for just being plain greedy?
Don't you remember how i cried for days...
i didn't understand why you gave me all this pain.
You said you needed a break from being in the marriage spotlight.
You wanted to know how it felt to be with a different girl at night.
i couldn't agree to what you were asking for...

You got angry and started screaming at me...

I picked up the glass vase and smashed it into your head...
I didn't smash it hard...i wanted you alive not dead...
I tied you up on the cold ground in the bathroom...
By the time you woke up i was already through....
Now you wanted to apoligize...
since you saw the fire in my eyes...
i still loved you…after all you’re my man…
But… if i can't have you…nobody can....
I took a sharp knife and stabbed you 6 times...
screaming, "You are mine!....You are mine!"
I sat in the tub full of salty tears...

and the cloudy water turned to black from the mascara on my eyelash...
I dunked my head underneath the water...

I held my breath...for as long as i could...
