Problems logging in? READ THIS FIRST
I've noticed that periodically some people can't seem to log in to their account or have to log in several times. Here are some common reasons for your problems and the solutions - try these and see if it works.
1. You haven't established a forum account yet.
This is different than the account you set up on the HBCU Central home page. When you get to the forum page, click login at the top of the screen. Set up your user name and profile. Next time you sign in, check the box that says remember user name.
2. You have cookies disabled on your computer.
Cookies are the data stored by the web site on your computer that tells who you are so next time your account will come up automatically.
If you use Microsoft Internet Explorer, go to the Tools menu. Select Internet Options. Go to the "Security" tab. Select "medium" (or default).
If you use Netscape, go to the Edit menu. Select Preferences. Double click Privacy & Security. Select Cookies. Select "Enable Cookies".
3. You clicked log out the last time you visited the page.
If you log out then you will have to sign in again when you return. When you are done browsing the message boards, continue surfing to another site or simply close your web browser.
4. You have a firewall or some other type of security program which blocks your user data.
If this is the case, contact your network administrator to find out your best option for browsing the site.
This information should correct 99% of login problems. Holla!
