View Poll Results: What is the biggest cliche about Men and Women?
Men only think about sex / All Women want a relationship
Things Men Think They Know, Things Women Thought They Knew
Alright, so everyone knows Im cynical. Its what makes me who I am, what seperates me from the mold. I've just finished watching this movie "Roger Doger" and I really hope everyone watches it (especially us guys).
And why? The movie was about this guy, Roger, who was a brilliant man filled with much information and had alot of influence and power in what he said. He was a writer for this magazine or a company or something, and he could sway a woman this way and that, almost manipulating everything about them.
In one part of the movie hes sitting down with Jennifer Beals and Elizabeth Hurley with his nephew and he asks them what is the single most attractive thing about a guy and they both said "A Sense of Humor" (and me and my dad pretty much said it before they could). And then he goes on to say "So if these two muscular guys came in and beat us up right here and said the right things to you, you wouldn't be in the least most impressed?" And the girls started laughing, one agreed and the other slightly disagreed.
The nephew provides the best insight, however, to these conversations because he's a virgin and untainted by adulterated society. The conversation steers toward women being sick and tired of being seen as objects and not heard for their minds, but Roger points out that they wouldnt put on strapless bras and miniskirts for men to ignore. Nick, the nephew, goes on to say:
"But isn't it funny that women will keep hiding themselves under these facades...they try to maintain a look, do Anything almost as if they are trying to hide their true selves. And when a [true]man falls in love with her she gets afraid and tries to substitute her fear with other objects and body parts, not knowing that its those small things about them that make us love them even more."
So thats when the revelation hit Roger and the women. These people who had thought they had figured out the game realized the simplicity...the true essence of attraction. The truth in beauty and the beauty in truth. The purity of it all can't be tainted by any means, but all of the things you do, all of the objects and 'isms' fade along with the fake and all that is left is You.
Roger (almost a representative of the suave but still lost man) understood that the basic relationship exists on the lowest common denominator. Not Sex, but Truth.
And the Women realized that as long as they played themselves into a relationship as a pair of breasts and ass, they were going to be seen that way.
*whispering* im trying to decide, before I post lol
LoL, sorry I made it thought provoking. Next time I'll be silly widdit'.
ass, if ya want a good answer you could wait!, i could freepost ya :x
anyways the biggest cliche I think maybe is the first one, because people always think men are sex crazed beasts but women are just innocent lambs who want to find a common love with dr phil type personality attributes.....so men dont always like sex, and women dont always want a relationship, now about that long a** post, i read the last sentence...and yeah...umm GO TRUTH! ...but even though we may play ourselves a certain way there are still people out there who will judge us regardless...*cough* larry.....but i agree mostly that the way you present yourself is the way you will be looked at and treated....yeah that response sucked, but you were rushing me damnit

And everyone will judge - just give them somethin Good to think about.
