I must say that I missed his speech on the TV but I did read the transcript and I am impressed. Again like ol boy said he does not pick sides which is important because white people already have in their minds that all black politicians are the same and he clearly erased that line. Through effective word usage and emotional striking emphasis he captured the heart of the democratic party. It will be interesting to see John Kerry speak as the elections near because with an impressive speech and track record Obama holds, many may begin to wonder if they made the right chose in Kerry.

I really liked his spech. The whole time I was thinking I better hitch a ride to Illinois jus to vote for ( I know i can't do that). I hope he runs for president. He's the type of Black leader we need. Not to obsessed about the black agenda, not ghetto, not disorganized, and not with a perm. Its funny how Al Sharpton continues to run ear after year. I don't think he'll ever win, Not if there are white people in america, even if they werenot enough black people would vote for him. Barack Obama siad it best this is truly a land of oppurtunity.

By the way how old is he/ I'm thinking 30 somebody else said he was 45 either way Black don't crack

Yea I have been following Barack Obama for a long time a he is a very promising politician. His speech last night was one of the best since Jesse Jackson’s keynote address some years ago. He has the upcoming Senate seat on lock. As a matter of fact he scares his opponents so much right now that he is running unopposed, after two of his opponents dropping out of the race.

He should really open up the door for other promising black politicians (like myself) as he continues his path in conquering politics. Who knows he very well could be the first black president. He is a person whom which hope to model my politics after, loved by both sides of the world. What can say, he doing the thang!
